We understand the value of building mutually beneficial relationships between UND and its publics. That's why we dedicate significant resources to tell our stories in the local, state and national media.
We're here to share your news and build relationships with key stakeholders.
News Releases/Media Advisories/News Conferences
Let's spread the word! We'll help you write and distribute new releases or media advisories about your upcoming event or past accomplishment. We can also assist in organizing and publicizing news conferences for high level events. Contact Brandon Beyer at 701.777.6746 for assistance.
U&PA serves as the primary liaison between UND and the legislative and executive branches of North Dakota government and the North Dakota University System, as well as North Dakota's congressional delegation. We also follow city, state, and federal government issues that affect UND and higher education.
Please review our Guidelines for Communications by University of North Dakota Employees with Local, State and Federal Government Officials for official University communications.
Get seen and heard by posting your event on the UND Calendar. Optimize your event listing for maximum exposure by including an image, video, complete contact information and a Web address for more information.
If something is happening at UND, we want to know. University Letter (U-Letter) serves as the internal communications hub for UND. Submit your U-Letter announcement online. If you have questions, contact editor Jan Orvik at jan.orvik@UND.edu or 701.777.3621.

We routinely provide notice of shared achievements, such as being named to the President's Roll of Honor, Deans List, and the D.J. Robertson list. Generally, students are listed by hometown based on the official home address they provide to the Office of the Registrar.
Whether it's print, television, web-based media, or radio, the Public Relations Group can help you prepare for media interactions. Training is available for individuals and small groups. Please contact Peter Johnson at 701.777.4317 to schedule media training.
