My purpose as an early childhood educator is to support the development of the whole child through providing developmentally appropriate opportunities and experiences that promote growth in the areas of cognition, language, motor skills, and socially/emotionally. I am able to do this through collaborating with parents and providing a safe and nurturing environment where children are able to explore through play.

My purpose as an early childhood educator is to provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where the children in my care can explore, learn, and grow. My goal is to build strong relationships with the children and their families and work together to foster independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
The Red Family is comprised of 10 children ages 18 months to approximately 3 years old. They transition from the Red Family to a Preschool Family when they are developmentally ready (determined by parents and teachers together) and there is space available.
This classroom currently has an open teacher position. It will be filled with student workers until a teacher is hired.
Children of this age are seeking independence, therefore the Learning Center encourages it whenever possible. Cubbies, shelves and chairs are sized for their growing and developing bodies. They are able to hang up their coat, put away their nap items and get toys on their own.
** At this time, this is a brand new classroom. There is going to be one more coat of paint put on so the walls are decorated just yet. Keep checking back to see how this room changes.
The toys are open and allow for them to make independent choices. Teachers will put purposefully planned activities on the tables or maybe on the carpet but other toys are also available for their use through the day.
Books are always available to the toddlers. The Learning Center believes that exposure to books and having someone to read them is critically important.
