2017 Student Employee of the Year
Megan Hilgers has been named the University of North Dakota Student Employee of the Year for 2017.
Megan, who is pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy, was nominated by Paul Jensen of UND Wellness & Health Promotions. Paul writes in the nomination: “Megan has made the Wellness Center a priority in her life, despite other commitments. She is passionate about the facility and excels in the position because she wants to ensure the Wellness Center is the best it can be for our student body. She has succeeded in this endeavor by offering exceptional customer service, maintaining facility policies and safety, and by training the next generation of employees who will continue to uphold her standard of effort and care for the facility.”
Megan’s name has been added to the Student Employee of the Year plaque that is displayed in the Student Employment Office at Career Services and she has been awarded a $500 scholarship. She was also named Student Employee of the Year for the state of North Dakota and will receive a certificate and cash award from the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators.
