- Room number
- Street address
- Stop number
- City, state and ZIP code
Color and Paper
Envelopes should be printed in two colors: green (PANTONE 347) and black. Smooth white envelope paper that matches the UND letterhead paper should be used.
Helvetica should be used.
The primary UND logotype is to be reproduced from an authorized original at all times and the size of the logotype should be 2" wide.
The logotype is placed in the upper left-hand corner of the envelope with a 0.25" margin on the top and the left. The top of the title line is 0.1" from the baseline of the logotype and a 2" green horizontal line (.75 pt stroke) equally divides the space between the logotype and title line.
Contact Information Variations
Some text content variations may be needed to fit situations particular to specific units. Envelopes that contain only the institution name with no unit name and address are not allowed except with permission from the UND Design Group (identity@UND.edu) for a special use purpose.
The unit title is 12-point semi-bold (tracking: 25) and the address is 10-point regular with 12-point leading. Below the complete address (separated by a partial line space of .5 points), the text "Address Service Requested" may be placed in 9-point regular. The type should left align with the logotype.
Names and Titles
The names and titles of individuals are not to be printed on envelopes.
Engraved or embossed envelopes are not recommended. Please consult the UND Design Group at identity@UND.edu with any requests for engraved or embossed stationery.
For more informal correspondence, monarch-size envelopes have been approved. Contact the UND Design Group for design and guidelines at identity@UND.edu.
Secondary Unit Logos or Slogans
Secondary unit logos and other additional elements are not permitted on the official UND envelope, partly because of Postal Service regulations.
